Don't blame on Television

Nowadays, there are a lot of people wasting their times to watch TV. But, please don't blame TV. TV is an inventory from people before us. TV can entertain you though TV can kill you.

I would like to inform you to take back your control (these times your children or you are controlled by TVs' programs). The first is that "don't throw away your TV". It means that you still can watch TV based on your necessary needs of TV. If you still consist on throwing TV, it is a big mistake. Next is that "give an allocation time in watching TV". Please note that this thing makes you to have limitation on watching TV. You can manage your time or your children time at least it is only 1 or 2 hours in a day.

That's all. It is a little thing that will change the human being life.

The right to education_Task on Reading Subject

The right to education
The Jakarta Post                             I Fri, 07/31/2009 9:16 AM I Opinion
Nearly 75,000 senior high school and vocational school graduates logged on to the State University Admissions Association (PSPMBN) website on Thursday to see if they had passed the exams held earlier this month.
Less than 7,800 seats were available at seven state universities, including the favorite University of Indonesia, in the joint selection program, because most positions had already been taken through admissions exams held independently by the individual institutions.
Higher education, however, remains a luxury for the majority of Indonesia's younger generation. Universities, state and private, can accommodate only one third of more than 2 million senior high school graduates annually. And the competition for admission gets tighter every year because often those who failed in previous years go back to try for a second or third time.
Those who do not make it into state universities can turn to private institutions, which have gradually proven they can match state universities in terms of the quality of education they offer. However, such students must spend more because private universities rely entirely on tuition fees to operate.
Financing higher education has been a controversial topic for decades. The government once allocated huge subsidies to state universities to provide university access to as many students as possible. In reality, however, most of these subsidies went to students of upper and middle income families, who did not qualify for government assistance at all.
Now that the subsidies have been set at only one-third of the educational budget, following the enactment of the 2008 law on educational institutions, state universities have been allowed to collect public funds to stay afloat. And they will need to collect an increasing amount of funding as the educational standards and expectations also evolve to meet the demands of an increasingly competitive job market.
The government has adopted two clear-cut policies concerning higher education, the outcomes of which are the same because they both sacrifice students from poor families. As National Education Minister Bambang Sudibyo once said, higher education is indeed expensive.

And with the government still struggling to make sure the mandatory nine year education program remains on track, it is almost unlikely that a free higher education policy will be put in place in Indonesia. This does not mean the government can leave higher education to the market mechanisms either.
The Constitution mandates that the state (the government) must guarantee every citizen's right to education. The government's presence is felt when it takes actions for the people's sake.
The government could allocate more funds to provide scholarships or perhaps loans to those who can't afford to pay soaring university tuition fees. Students who take out loans will have to pay back their borrowings in installments once they get jobs so that the money can be passed on to other needy students.
The government could also build new state universities, particularly outside Java, to tap in to an increasing number of high school graduates. Major cities in Java have at least three state universities, compared to one in each provincial capital outside this densely populated island.
Private universities may participate in the education-for-all campaign without having to bear more financial burden. They need incentives to provide university access for more disadvantaged students, which could take the form of tax breaks or other fiscal policies. A number of companies have translated their concerns about higher education for all by offering scholarships as part of their corporate social responsibility programs. But only a limited number of students will be accepted.

In the end, the full responsibility of national education remains in the government's hands - but that's what the government is there for. With more daunting challenges ahead, the success of the education-for-all program will determine the nation's survival.

Shakespeare Quote of the Month

"Fear no more the heat o' the sun,
Nor the furious winter's rages;
Thou thy worldly task hast done,
Home art gone, and ta'en thy wages;
Golden lads and girls all must,
As chimney-sweepers, come to dust."

"Castle Of Glass"

Take me down to the river bend
Take me down to the fighting end
Wash the poison from off my skin
Show me how to be whole again

Fly me up on a silver wing
Past the black, where the sirens sing
Warm me up in a nova's glow
And drop me down to the dream below

'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass
Hardly anything there for you to see
For you to see

Bring me home in a blinding dream,
Through the secrets that I have seen
Wash the sorrow from off my skin
And show me how to be whole again

'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass
Hardly anything there for you to see
For you to see

'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass
Hardly anything else I need to be

'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass
Hardly anything there for you to see
For you to see

The Scientific Life's Theory

The way of life that is expected by people are an optional for each. No one wants to have hell in his or her life. Therefore, everyone needs to have a big effort of his or her life in order to get the best life in the world and in the spirit life then.

As like one of an expert Japanese speech, with a spoken language then got a crowded applause from all of the audience; He said, "speech can be shorten, but life can be longer", then it's done. What a great speech.

Here we go. Above is an introduction, but the main point in this scientific life's theory will be written in a short word. Life is like when we passed the traffic light either at the three junction or at the intersection. Lets take a little thought of it, when a person starts from A and wants to get Z, then he or she needs to pass B-Y. The way of life is like the road or the street or the other. He or she absolutely has vehicle to pass it, vehicle can be motor, car, or by on foot. The road is not always in the straight pattern, but it is a kind of the process to get A to B, B to C, and on and on. If  I may consider, B is the traffic light which has a different timer with the other. Thus, everyone needs to stop when get "red" and go ahead if get green or yellow. The point is people sometimes need to have a maximum speed for a particular condition or situation in order to pass the traffic light, but he or she needs to slow it down also.

Have a nice reading.......

non-verbal

An Analysis of Teaching Strategies by Using Video in Listening Class

A. INTRODUCTION
Commonly, when we learn about English, our teachers taught us about listening, speaking, reading and writing. That four skills which will support us in learning English are important. One of them is listening, listening is generally considered as the primary skills for students. Now that listening is the skill that students acquire first, furthermore we can get the points of what people say, so we have to listen carefully what he/she says.
When we learn every skills of language especially English, indirectly we have learnt listening. Even students are not consious that they learn it. Moreover, students must listen carefully what their teacher is saying so students get the lesson.
Teachers usually has their techniques in listening class to teach the students in order to make their students be able to mastering this subject. If we talk about the technique especially in listening class, there must be many techniques that every teacher has. The techniques that teachers has given to students can be used to value whether its techniques work well or not.
In this part, I as the writer will explain about teaching strategies by using video in listening class that can help teachers to develop students’ skills in listening class. By using video, it is not only help to develop the skills in listening, but also perhaps in the other skills such as, vocabulary, grammar and etc.

Your Call
oleh: Secondhand Serenade

Waiting for your call, common sick, common I'm angry
common I'm desperate for your voice
Listening to the song we used to sing
In the car, do you remember
Butterfly, Early Summer
It's playing on repeat, Just like when we would meet
Like when we would meet

Suppose

Suppose that I missed you
Suppose that I cared.
And suppose that I've spent all my nights running scared
And suppose that I was never there.

Stay Close Don't Go
oleh: Secondhand Serenade

I'm staring at the glass in front of me,
is it half empty of our wins or have i ruined all you've given me?
I know I've been selfish,
I know I've been foolish,
but look through that
and you will see,
I'll do better, I know,
Baby, I can do better.

Maybe
oleh: Secondhand Serenade

Didn't you want to hear
The sound of all the places we could go
Do you fear
The expressions on the faces we don't know
It's a cold hard road when you wake up
And I don't think that I
Have the strength to let you go

Goodbye
oleh: Secondhand Serenade

It's a shame that it had to be this way
It's not enough to say I'm sorry
It's not enough to say I'm sorry

Maybe I'm to blame
Or maybe were the same
But either way I can’t breathe
Either way I can’t breathe

All I had to say is goodbye
Were better off this way
Were better off this way

I'm alive but I’m losing all my drive
Cause everything were been through
And everything about you
Seemed to be a lie
A guiltless twisted lie
It made me learn to hate you
Or hate myself for letting it pass by

All I had to say is goodbye
Were better off this way
Were better off this way
All I had to say is goodbye
Were better off this way
Were better off this way

And every, everything isn't only
What it seemed so hold these
Words that you never told me
Its time to say goodbye
Its time to say goodbye
Its time to say goodbye
Goodbye

Bye

Take my hand away
Spell it out
Tell me I was wrong
Tell me I was wrong

Take my hand away
Spell it out
Tell me I was wrong
Tell me I was wrong

Take my hand away
Spell it out
Tell me I was wrong
Tell me I was wrong

(And so on)

Fall For You
oleh: Secondhand Serenade

The best thing about tonight's that we're not fighting
Could it be that we have been this way before
I know you don't think that I am trying
I know you're wearing thin down to the core

But hold your breathe
Because tonight will be the night
That I will fall for you
Over again
Don't make me change my mind
Or I won't live to see another day
I swear it's true
Because a girl like you is impossible to find
You're impossible to find

This is not what I intended
I always swore to you I'd never fall apart
You always thought that I was stronger
I may have failed but I have loved you from the start

Oh, But hold your breathe
Because tonight will be the night
That I will fall for you
Over again
Don't make me change my mind
Or I won't live to see another day
I swear it's true
Because a girl like you is impossible to find
It's impossible
So breathe in so deep
Breathe me in
I'm yours to keep
And hold on to your words
Cause talk is cheap
And remember me tonight
When you're asleep

Because tonight will be the night
That I will fall for you
Over again
Don't make me change my mind
Or I won't live to see another day
I swear it's true
Because a girl like you is impossible to find

Tonight will be the night
That I will fall for you
Over again
Don't make me change my mind
Or I won't live to see another day
I swear it's true
Because a girl like you is impossible to find
You're impossible to find

Why
oleh: Secondhand Serenade

The buttons on my phone are worn thin
I don't think that I knew the chaos I was getting in.
But I've broken all my promises to you
I've broken all my promises to you.

Why do you do this to me?
Why do you do this so easily?
You make it hard to smile because
You make it hard to breathe
Why do you do this to me?

A phrasing that's a single tear,
Iis harder than I ever feared
And you were left feeling so alone.
Because these days aren't easy
Like they have been once before
These days aren't easy anymore.

Why do you do this to me?
Why do you do this so easily?
You make it hard to smile because
You make it hard to breathe
Why do you do this to me?
To me, to me, to me...

I should've known this wasn't real
And fought it off and fought to feel
What matters most? Everything
That you feel while listening to every word that I sing.
I promise you I will bring you home
I will bring you home.

Why do you do this to me?
Why do you do this so easily?
You make it hard to smile because
You make it hard to breathe
Why do you do this to me?

Why do you do this to me?
Why do you do this so easily?
You make it hard to smile because
You make it hard to breathe
Why do you do this to me?
To me, to me, to me...

Stranger

Turn Around
Turn Around and fix your eye in my direction
So there is a connection
I can't speak
I can't make a sound to somehow capture your attention
I'm staring at perfection
take a look at me so you can see
how beautiful you are

you call me a stranger
you say I'm a danger
but all these thoughts are leaving you tonight
I'm broke and abandoned
you are an angel
making all my dreams come true tonight

I'm confident
but I can't pretend I wasn't terrified to meet you
I knew you could see right through me
I saw my life flash right before my very eyes
and I knew just what we'd turn into
I was hopeing that you could see
take a look at me so you can see

you call me a stranger
you say I'm a danger
but all these thoughts are leaving you tonight
I'm broke and abandoned
you are an angel
making all my dreams come true tonight

you are an angel
making all my dreams come true tonight

take a look at me so you can see
how beautiful you are
x4

your beauty seems so far away
I'd have to write a thousand songs to make you comprehend how beautiful you are

i know that I can't make you stay
but I would give my final breathe to make you understand how beautiful you are
understand how beautiful you are

you call me a stranger
you say I'm a danger
but all these thoughts are leaving you tonight
I'm broke and abandoned
you are an angel
making all my dreams come true tonight

you call me a stranger
you say I'm a danger
you call me a stranger
